Club Championships
The Annual Club Championship is designed solely for all students who wish to compete against the best our school has to offer. Only the Top 20 ranked members qualify for this single elimination event. The 2009 Edition was once again filled with some of the best Northern Michigan has to offer. Early elimination matches provided lots of action with only the top survivors advancing.

Championship Match
Once again the final match provided all of the excitement anticipated. Garrett and Austin have battled each other for the past two years, pretty much splitting all their encounters. Both faced incredibly tough matches in their Semi-Finals. Once again, this is the finest group of children I have coached in 7 years. This is one of the few times that #1 and #2 have actually ended up facing each other in "The Finals". In the end these rivals, and old friends, matched wits until Garrett finally ended up victorious. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who played in Chess Club this year.
