Students of the Month

Monthly, I honor both a boy and girl student from our class that best exemplifies hard work and citizenship.  Children like these make my job worthwhile...

Don't let the shy exterior fool you. You may have to look hard, but THAT IS A SMILE!  This young lady has pretty much flown 'under the radar' so far this year.  I do hear, however, that she can be a real 'Wildcat'.  Her work is outstanding and citizenship some of the best in all of 5th grade!  She narrowly missed out on SOM for November and December, but January belongs to her!  Her work in Math has improved so very much.  She is beginning to easily grasp new concepts and her confidence is rising as well.  A more pleasant, sweet young lady you would be hard pressed to find!  I look forward to 5 more months of some incredible memories with her!

This young man has it all going on!  Hunter has worked so very hard all year.  His Math skills are exceptional and is often used to tutor those children in need of extra help.  Funny, witty, charming, and a fair master at card tricks....Hunter is a friend to many in class.  His rise throughout Chess Club has been incredible to the point that he was recently selected as a member of the 10th ranked Knightmares from the North Team that will compete at State Championships February 4th!  I only hope that I am up to the challenge of meeting his throughout our school year!

Congratulations to both our January
